Our son, Alisdair was just 21 when he lost his best buddy and sister, Sarah on July 11th, 1990 He was in his 3rd year at Melbourne Uni and , somehow, he managed to overcome this huge blow to go on and complete an Honours degree in Electrical Engineering.
He is hopeful that he may be able to give some insight and help to other siblings in a similar position. We raise this comment because it sometimes appears that other siblings can be forgotten or left outside the picture when a much-loved family member goes missing and receives enormous amounts of publicity because they are the subject of a suspected-murder hunt.
We feel that it may be helpful to allow them to discuss their thoughts and feelings.
